Discovery Tour 7

Day 1: Bangkok – Phetchaburi - Hua Hin (approx. 190 km)

You will be transferred to Wongwian Yai Railway Station. As soon as the train leaves you almost drive through the living rooms and kitchens of the local people. Enjoy the view and the cheerful Thai people. The open fan cooled train with wooden benches takes you to Mahachai in Samut Sakhon. You then continue to the town of Phetchaburi. Here you will visit the Khao Luang Cave with its many Buddha statues and the beautiful Phra Nakhon Khiri, the 19th century palace complex of King Rama IV. The various buildings are spread over 3 hills and are connected by footpaths amidst the forests and rocks. In Hua Hin you will stay 1 night in a beautiful resort hotel.

Day 2: Hua Hin – Pa La U waterfall - Kuiburi National Park - Prachuab Khiri Khan (approx. 190 km)

An active and adventurous day. After breakfast, drive to Kaeng Krachan National Park. Here you will take a walk to the beautiful Pa La U waterfall. In the afternoon you will drive to Kuiburi National Park, known for its wild elephants. By safari car you make a trip through the park to spot elephants and other animals. In the early evening you will arrive at your accommodation in Prachuab Khiri Khan.

Day 3: Prachub Khiri Khan – Ranong (approx. 270 km)

In Prachuab Khiri Khan you have a beautiful view of the cliffs off the coast. In Ban Krut you will visit the Chedi Pakdi Prakat hilltop complex from where you will have a nice view of the Gulf of Thailand. Near the town of Chumphon you cross the peninsula and drive through Ranong, one of the most beautiful provinces of southern Thailand. A tropical greenland with mountains, waterfalls and tropical rainforests. You make a stop at the Isthmus of Khra, the viewpoint at the border with Burma, you visit the Punyaban waterfall and the Raksawarin Park with the hot springs. With their medicinal properties, these springs in the area also serve as spas. Then drive to your hotel in Ranong, where you will stay for 1 night.

Day 4: Ranong – Phang Nga Bay National Marine Park - Khao Lak (approx. 210 km)

If desired, you can visit the Saphan Plaa, the fish auction and market of Ranong in the early morning. After breakfast, drive to the pier of Phang Nga Bay National Marine Park. You will take a beautiful boat trip through Phang Nga Bay, known for its fascinating limestone rocks rising high from the sea and the James Bond Island. Lunch at the Koh Panyi fishing village built entirely on stilts is also included. Afterwards you will go to Khao Lak, where you will stay 1 night in a comfortable resort/hotel near the beach of Pakarang Beach on the Andaman coast.

Day 5: Khao Lak

This tour ends after breakfast at your hotel. You can choose to extend this tour with a few more nights in Khao Lak or one of our many extension options.
