Koh Yao

Welcome to Koh Yao Yai and Koh Yao Noi

"Authentic islands for those seeking tranquility"

Halfway between Phuket and Krabi, the breathtaking scenery of the spectacular Koh Yao archipelago with idyllic sandy beaches and beautiful coral gardens set in the azure sea is a world unto itself. Koh Yao Noi and Koh Yao Yai are a pair of large islands in the middle of Phang Nga Bay, equidistant to Phuket and Krabi, and are part of the Ao Phang-Nga Marine National Park. While you'll find several luxury resorts and tourist facilities on Koh Yao Noi, the islands remain a quiet refuge that feels far removed from the crowds of Phuket.

Koh Yao Yai is the largest island and mainly consists of forests and kilometers of beautiful sandy beaches. From the rolling hills behind the beaches, you have a fantastic view of the limestone rock formations that so characterize the coastline of the opposite Ao Nang. The local population earns its livelihood by fishing and growing coconuts, rice, cashew nuts and rubber. Tourism has only started to increase in recent years. Visitors to these islands mainly come here for peace, beach, and nature. Some of the best things you can do on the Koh Yao Islands include kayaking, hiking, snorkeling, and swimming.
