Chiang Mai Explorer 9
Chiang Mai Explorer 9: Bike Tour Cultural Chiang Mai
full day tour / private or in international company / including lunch
An approximately 30 km long recreational bike ride, where you visit a Thai family and prepare a real local Thai lunch.
You will be picked up from your hotel in Chiang Mai and taken to the starting point. You cycle out of the city via a carefully thought-out route. Your first stop is at the local temple Wat Koh Klang. Then you cycle to the McKaen Institute, which today serves as a rehabilitation center and houses a handicraft center. The bike ride continues on country roads past orchards, rice fields and fields with vegetables and fruit crops, through small villages. When you arrive at Pa Keaw's House, you and the host will prepare a real local Thai meal. Experience how the people live in a traditional and simple rural lifestyle. You cycle to a coconut plantation and see in the workshop how creative products are made from the bark of the coconut. At Wiang Kum Kam, we stop at Wat Chang Kum (the oldest archaeological site) and Wat Chedi Liem (known for its beautifully restored pagoda). Arriving in Chiang Mai you will be transferred back to your hotel.
Prices are per person and on request.
