Krabi

Welcome to Krabi

“Paradise Krabi”

Increasingly frequented in recent years, Krabi is barely an hour's flight from Bangkok, on the west coast of Thailand opposite Phuket. Many are impressed by the natural beauty surrounding this old fishing town, with its tropical rainforests and mangrove forests, exuberant flora and fauna, waterfalls and hot springs, millions of years old caves, and steep cliffs. Together with pristine white beaches and many offshore paradise islands, where jagged limestone formations rise from the clear waters of the Andaman Sea, Krabi is a unique area of unparalleled beauty.

Krabi has a unique location on the dazzlingly beautiful bay of Phang Nga, which has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. The beautiful beaches are surrounded by spectacular cliffs. Usually, Krabi refers to a handful of beautiful beaches, of which Ao Nang is the best known and most developed. It is 18 km from Krabi and with a songthaew, a typical Thai taxi, you can get there in no time. The kilometer-long family beach Hat Noppharat Thara is located within a natural park of which the island of Koh Phi Phi is also a part. Further west and north are the quiet beaches of Klong Muang and Tub Kaek. On the south side, Hat Noppharat Thara merges seamlessly into Ao Nang, which is the real Krabi for many people with its beautiful, 2 km long white sandy beach and the many resorts, bars, restaurants, and shops. Although it belongs to the mainland, Railay Beach (also known as Pra Nang Beach) further south is only accessible by boat. The beach here makes you feel like you're on a desert island. Clear blue water, islets on the horizon and majestic cliffs all around. In addition to tranquility on the beach, Krabi also offers beautiful nature in the tropical interior.

Halfway between Phuket and Krabi, the breathtaking scenery of the spectacular archipelagos of Koh Yao and Koh Phi Phi with idyllic sandy beaches and beautiful coral gardens in the azure blue sea is a world unto itself. Koh Lanta is located south of Krabi. Krabi has grown in popularity in recent years. The beaches are truly heavenly and many longtail boats sail from Krabi to the archipelago of islands off the coast.
