Koh Tao

Welcome to Koh Tao

"Tropical diving and snorkeling paradise"

Koh Tao, also known as the 'Turtle Island', is the smallest of the three main islands of the Samui archipelago. The island of only 21 km2 is located approximately 1 hour sailing (40 km) northwest of Koh Phangan and approximately 2 hours sailing (85 km) from the mainland (Chumphon) in the Gulf of Thailand.

The island is mainly known for its beautiful beaches, coves, and great diving locations, which are suitable for both the novice and the experienced diver. The pleasant waters of the Gulf of Thailand are often calm, and you don't have to sail far to make beautiful dives. The pleasant fishing village of Ban Mae Haad is the gateway to the island.

Hai Sai Ri / Sairee Beach is the beach with the most diving facilities, a good place to start. If you have dived before, there are plenty of boats that will gladly take you to the most beautiful places such as Shark Island, Green Rock, Chumphon Pinnacle or South-west Pinnacle. Koh Tao is also a significant breeding ground for green turtles.
